Aesop's Fables was produced in ancient times. The content of the stories are supposed to be a reflection to the society background of that era. Especially, there are “lessons” attached after the stories. Some of them are very good and keeping to the point, and some others are far-fetched and irrelevant to the stories. No matter how the quality of those lessons are, the stories at least could be read as an old material. The original lessons would not stop the readers of different era from reading and accepting the fables themselves. People like to realize the meaning of the fables based on their social environment and living condition, by which they comprehend the living truth. Regarding the fables as reference, they pursue the truth of real, kind and beauty and abandon the ugly and evil things. Considering the purpose and requirements of the book series itself, we published this Aesop’s Fables translation edition which contains one hundred and fifty-six the most wonderful fables. The translation directly comes from the old Greek edition. It is the Aesop’s Fables Collection of 1959 edition belonging to Joe zlatan ibrahimovic---the Greek and Roman writers series, which is composed by Hausrath according to the early material and edited by Hungr successively. Wish dear readers could benefit from this edition.
