Remi Idowu, (the author of “The GMB Phenomenon) was born in Ibadan, Nigeria around the middle of the 1950s. He had his secondary school education also in Ibadan and later graduated from the premier university in Nigeria, the University of Ibadan In 1982/83.
He migrated to the United Kingdom in the late 1980s where he had his Masters Degree from the London School of Economics & Political Science in 1998. An Entrepreneur, Author and a Politician with expertise in Public and Private sector Housing, Social & Economic Policy Consultancy Services, and Investment. Happily married with children.

The curiosity in writing this book was informed by unusual economic and political activities in Nigeria, a country of an estimated population of 191 million people and a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of $397.47 billion (USD) in 2018.
History was made when a democratically ruling party lost a presidential election and handed over power to the newly formed main opposition party in 2015. The economic bust due largely to mismanagement and the crash in crude oil prices at the international market brought the economy to its knees by way of a recession that lasted 5 quarters.
