When I was learning to fly airplanes being in control was essential. That's why I hated how my instructor never failed to command me to “Go Around” when I had the perfect landing in view. The same thing happens in day-to-day life. You can bet that somebody is going to challenge your control today. Here how Pilots handle it: 1) Hit the gas, apply full power and build momentum as fast as you can. Don’t let a bad situation remove the wind from your wings. 2) Focus your attention on whatever will most quickly get you back on track. 3) Once you have positive control again, take a breath and turn on the autopilot. When something gets in your way, don’t delay, move into action and fix it.
