"During my career, I wrote several business books but still had that hankering to write novels, which I began seriously to do in 1988. It took me until 2006 before I was first published and many trials, errors and experimentations along the way until I found my voice," says the novelist.

She also says she gets her inspiration from the sea. Almost all her crime novels are set against the backdrop of the ever-changing sea.

Pauline is a member of the Crime Writers' Association and the Society of Authors.
