Job or death in Philadelphia. An American crime novel

A rich woman with some leisure time on her hands solves crimes with energy and perseverance. She doesn’t protect anybody, it’s her who needs nearly constant protection from people aggrieved by her snooping. Instead of a wedding chapel at the end, she expects to get a slice of cake and a cup of tea. So, it’s a comedy.
The story is based on my investigation of nonprofit companies bringing immigrants to the US.
