Even if you've seen the movie, or you've read all the WWII books there are... give it a try. You'll love it.

I have learned so much about Guernsey and the WW2 from this book. The characters are intimidating, you'll want to learn more about them. It was such a Joy to read this book and I will be always glad to have read it.

Было так жаль, что книжка закончилась. Добрая, светлая, смешная и читается на одном дыхании, как и правда чужие письма:) советую всем, что любит ‘Жареные зеленые помидоры в кафе ‘Полустанок’, по уровню душевности это с одной полки :)

It has a brand of charm even though it deals with the warning, but also what reading means to oeople-I love that . Really enjoyable, a colourful cast of characters led by Dawsey and Juliet . Way better than the movie. The story is told via letters, very nice. Love Dawsey , Juliet, Elizabet and the concept.

Me gustó mucho la forma en la que está escrito. Me pareció formidable la forma "tierna" de narrar eventos terribles de la Ocupación alemana durante la WWII, pero es realista. Muy recomendable. La película... no la he visto aún.
